World Teachers Day: Ikorodu Education Secretary Felicitates ‘Silent Architects’

The Education Secretary of the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, has felicitated teachers on the occasion of the World Teachers’ Day 2025.

In a statement commemorating the day, the Education Secretary, who himself is a professional teacher and an outstanding school administrator, described the teachers as silent architects who are the torchbearers and heroes shaping destinies.

“On this World Teachers’ Day, I rise with pride and gratitude to celebrate the torchbearers of knowledge, the unsung heroes who shape destinies and build nations; our teachers.

“To every teacher, I want to reinforce that we stand solidly behind you, not just with applause, but with unflinching support. Hold your head high, for you are the heartbeat of education. Let your chin rise with confidence, knowing that your calling births every other calling.

“You are more than educators. You are life shapers, moulders of character, and builders of dreams. Your chalk may fade, your markers may dry, but the lessons you impart echo through generations. You plant seeds of greatness in minds that will one day lead, heal, invent, and inspire”.

Alhaji Odumbo, further acknowledging the sacred nature of teachers work, described it as immeasurable.
